Whatever your plans are for the Fourth of July, they probably involve family, fireworks, and time spent near a body of water (maybe even an Alaglas fiberglass pool!)

So, how about that weather?
There’s no denying that June has been a hot month all along the East coast, causing record highs across the region. You’ve likely seen a few of our Facebook posts about sun safety and skin protection, but today we want to share some insight into another important summer topic: hydration!
Do you love the sun as much as we do? It’s warm and bright and makes everyone oh, so happy! Plus, it offers several amazing health benefits. For one, it boosts your body’s Vitamin D levels. Vitamin D is great for bone growth, illness prevention, and improved health overall. Time spent in the sun has also been proven to result in a better night’s sleep, lower blood pressure, and restored mental health.
Like most things in life, though, too much of a good thing can be bad, and when it comes to the sun, too much sun can be incredibly dangerous. Too much sun, for instance, can lead immediately to sunburn, and repeated damage from the sun can cause the skin to dry, wrinkle, discolor, and weaken. In severe cases, sun can lead to skin cancer, the most common of all of the cancers.
To most, today is just May 27th, but to lovers of the sun like us, we also know that today is Sun Screen Day, a day dedicated to raising sunscreen awareness.
You know what they say: April showers bring May flowers. And according to meteorologists, many of you will be experiencing beautiful May weather this weekend. It’s about time, right?!
Whether you’re preparing for a beach day, a boat day, or a pool day (guess which one’s our favorite ;) ), you’re going to need a fantastic playlist.
